Helping students excel with cases

Learning with cases is a new and challenging experience for many students. ecch offers special tailored sessions at universities and business schools to help students use case studies.

Experienced tutors help students understand how to read and analyse a case and identify key issues. You will learn how to prepare for and participate in class discussion and build your own confidence. Finally, you will learn how to write about a case for an assessment or exam. These sessions can greatly enhance your case class experience.

Planning a student session

Student sessions can range from a 90 minute overview to longer, more interactive programmes. We work with your school to establish what will suit you and your colleagues best, and where the session(s) should fit in your course. The cost of each event is worked out on an individual basis and varies depending on location, travel costs, length of event and number of participants.

Comments from students

"I liked the whole session but particularly the fact that I was engaged in the learning process 100% of the time and even carried that outside of the classroom."

"Cases are an incredible technique to involve and learn! The workshop brought a pro-active approach to understand and crack the case in a simple, efficient manner."

"I enjoyed the manner in which participation was encouraged. I got comfortable with it as the sessions progressed."

"The teacher was a learning facilitator, not just telling us how to do the case but inspiring us to participate and look at the cases from different perspectives."
