We are an independent, educational, non-profit, membership based organisation with no share capital and are a registered charity. As part of our non-profit status, we currently have over 550 educational and corporate member organisations from across the globe. We pride ourselves on being an efficient, forward-looking and friendly organisation, which always puts the needs of its authors, customers and members first.
Governance
ecch in the UK is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. An
executive committee, comprising up to nine academic representatives of member organisations, meets three times a year to establish ecch policy and oversee operations. The operations of ecch in the US are supervised by a
board of directors, that brings expertise from both academia and corporations.
Publishing and distributing cases
We offer the largest collection of management
case study materials to be found anywhere in the world, a reprint service for a growing number of leading international
management articles and
individual chapters from a range of management books. We are dedicated to promoting and facilitating case study based learning in management education and development. Our organisation was established by the business school community to fulfill its needs to provide a mechanism for publishing and distributing case study materials.
Supporting case learning
ecch supports students who are learning with cases. Widely recognised as the foremost independent provider of training in the case method worldwide, we run special tailored sessions at universities and business schools to help students get the best out of learning with case studies. We also produce and supply articles and books on the case method.
To generate new cases we offer up to ten Philip Law scholarships each year for research students at ecch member institutions to develop teaching cases based on original field research carried out during their studies.
