Trevor Williamson is a Principal Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, UK, where he oversees development of programmes in the financial services / planning area at undergraduate and postgraduate level. He previously held several senior management positions in banking and finance.
Trevor received his BSc in Management Sciences from UMIST, UK and MBA in Financial Management from Manchester Business School, UK / University of Wales, Bangor, UK. He recently attained the Certified Financial Planner (CPF) qualification and is a member of the Education Board of the Institute of Financial Planning.
Trevor has been writing and teaching with cases for over ten years and has been an ecch tutor since 1999. He was a participant in the International Teachers Programme at London Business School, UK and recipient of a Philip Law case writing scholarship from ecch. Trevor has participated in two ESF Leonardo da Vinci - Innovation in Teaching projects, working with academics at leading business schools in Lithuania, Estonia and Poland to take those new to case writing and teaching through a process of transferring a case idea into a teaching case, a teaching note and a teaching plan.
