James A Erskine is Associate Professor at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada where he teaches Operations Management. He has engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and a doctorate from Indiana University, USA.
Jim has designed and conducted training and development programmes for many corporations, universities and government agencies worldwide. He is especially interested in management challenges at the operating level and issues surrounding implementation. The recipient of several teaching awards, Jim is a 3-M teaching fellow recognising him as one of Canada's best university professors.
Over the past 40 years Jim has conducted more than 250 case writing and case teaching workshops in more than 45 countries. He has been writing cases for 40 years and has been involved in writing or supervising more than 1,000. Jim is a co-author of three case method textbooks: Learning with Cases, Teaching with Cases and Writing Cases.
