Presentation to winning author Vandana Guttal

Hazel Goodson, Emerging Markets and Conferences Manager at ecch, presented Vandana Guttal with her award at ICSC 2012 in Hyderabad. Vandana's case, Meltdown in Iceland: Biggest Casualty of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, won the Finance, Accounting and Control category and was co-authored by Seshagiri Rao Chaganty.

Presentation to winning authors at Stanford Graduate School of Business

Hau Lee and David Hoyt received their award from ecch Director, Richard McCracken, at Stanford Graduate School of Business on 8 August 2012. Their case Zappos.com: Developing a Supply Chain to Deliver WOW!, co-authored with Michael Marks, won the Production and Operations Management category.

Presentation to winning authors Christopher Bartlett and Carole Carlson

Richard McCracken, ecch Director, presented awards to Harvard Business School authors Christopher Bartlett and Carole Carlson at AOM 2012. Their case United Cereal: Lora Brill's Eurobrand Challenge won the Economics, Politics and Business Environment category.

Presentation to winning author Justin Paul

Justin Paul of The Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington received his award from Richard McCracken, ecch Director, at AOM 2012. Co-authored with Charlotte Féroul whilst at Nagoya University of Commerce & Business, Justin's Ivey Publishing case Louis Vuitton in Japan won the Entrepreneurship category.

Presentation to winning author Kelsey McCarty

Kelsey McCarty received her award from ecch Director, Richard McCracken, at Massachusetts General Hospital on 3 August 2012. Kelsey's case, Massachusetts General Hospital's Pre-Admission Testing Area (PATA), co-authored by Jérémie Galien and Retsef Levi, won the new case writer competition category.

Presentation of the outstanding contribution to the case method

José Ramalho Fontes, Dean of AESE Business School, presented the ecch Case Award for outstanding contribution to the case method to Mike Leenders and Louise Mauffette-Leenders at the ecch Writing Cases workshop in July 2012 at AESE in Lisbon.

Presentation to winning authors at Rotterdam School of Management

Tao Yue and Lori DiVito received their awards from ecch's Media and Systems Development Manager, Antoinette Mills, at Rotterdam School of Management on 5 July 2012. Their case, A Grand Entrance? Li Ning’s Emergence as a Global, Chinese Brand, co-authored by Johannes Meuer and Barbara Krug, won the Strategy and General Management category.

About the Awards

ecch Case Awards are presented annually to recognise worldwide excellence in case writing and to raise the profile of the case method of learning.

Awards are made in up to nine management categories; for one overall winning case; two case writing competition categories for a case by a new author and for a newly authored case on a 'hot topic'; and to recognise the outstanding contribution of an individual associated with the case method.
