ecch Case Awards Competition - terms and conditions

Case authors

  • must be teachers of management education either in an educational or corporate organisation. Students and research assistants are only eligible if they are part of an author team led by a faculty member.
  • may enter both categories in the same year but not with the same case.

Submissions

  • can be written by one or more authors. Teams of authors may be from different institutions worldwide but the copyright owner must be stated on the submission form.
  • must be focused on a business management situation.
  • must have been completed after 1 April 2011.
  • should have been tested in the classroom, details must be stated on the submission form.
  • should be in English.
  • may be compiled from field research, published sources or generalised experience.
  • must include an accompanying teaching note.
  • may be a single case or a case series
  • must be a maximum of 5,000 words (for the case or case series), excluding exhibits and annexes, there is no word limit for teaching notes.
  • must not contain any reference to the author(s) or their institution(s) to ensure anonymity during the judging process.
  • to the new case writer category must be the first teaching case for all authors. This must be stated on the submission form.
  • not already registered with ecch will be submitted to the collection should they win their category. Authors will be required to follow ecch's standard submission procedure.
  • may have been entered in to other competitions, excluding those previously organised by ecch.
  • will remain the copyright property of the author(s) and/or their institution(s).
  • will not be accepted from members of the judging panel.
