Subsidised places on ecch workshops for participants in developing countries

13 February 2012

As an extension of ecch’s commitment to promote the use of the case method in developing countries, from 2012 a minimum of one subsidised place, for participants from eligible countries, will be available on all its case method training events. Since 2004 ecch has also offered subsidised local case method training programmes with events in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa. Events for 2012 will be announced soon.

According to Hazel Goodson, Emerging Markets and Conferences Manager, “Our local case method training programmes aim to provide participants with a thorough introduction to the case method. We hope that this new initiative will help educators from developing countries expand their skills further and benefit from the opportunity to train with colleagues from other institutions worldwide.”

ecch recognises that pricing can be a barrier to using cases in class and also offers a range of discounts on cases purchased for teaching purposes by member organisations in developing countries.
