Background to workshop
This interactive workshop will guide participants through the
fundamentals of the case method, case writing and case teaching. The
experienced workshop tutors will present examples of good practice;
enabling participants to adapt the method for use in their own
institutions.
Case studies, from a variety of subject
disciplines, will be discussed in practical teaching sessions.
Participants will experience the case method and be able to reflect
upon the strengths and weaknesses of case teaching from a student, and
an academic, perspective.
The tutors will provide guidance on case
writing and present cases for critical analysis. Time will be allowed
for participants to develop their own case writing skills, to work
