Jamie Anderson is a Senior Lecturer at the European School of Management and Technology (esmt), Berlin and Visiting Lecturer and Programme Director with the Centre for Management Development, the customised executive education group of London Business School. Author of more than 40 case studies on international companies, one of which was a winner in the 2006 efmd case writing competition, Jamie has presented customised executive programmes to clients such as Deutsche Bank, Nokia, 3M, HP and PwC amongst others.


Scott Andrews runs an educational training consultancy practice. He spent 10 years as a lecturer and commercial researcher in marketing and organisational strategy, working with organisations including the World Bank, British Chamber of Commerce, World Health Organisation and the Church of England. He was responsible for all marketing training at the business school of the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, UK. A keen case study writer, Scott has published several cases and case teaching notes. His use of the case method has been incorporated into programmes in Central and Eastern Europe. Scott received his MBA from the University of Wales after first graduating with a BSc and MSc.


Tony de Luca is a CEO and consultant with a history as a visionary leader growing and restructuring businesses. Originally an engineer, he was first introduced to the case method during his MBA at Harvard Business School, during which he was appointed Tutor in Corporate Finance. He has been using cases in teaching for more than 25 years and is a visiting professor at Boston University. Until 2004, Tony was the president of Management Centre Europe, one of the leading European executive development institutions with a global reach. Currently president of Brussels-based, Warner International NV, a company specialising in improving personal and corporate performance, his skills as an excellent coach, communicator and presenter are in great demand.


James A Erskine teaches Operations Management at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. Over the past 30 years Professor Erskine has conducted more than 200 case writing and case teaching workshops in more than 35 countries. The recipient of several teaching awards, Jim is a 3-M teaching fellow recognizing him as one of Canada's best university professors. Jim has been writing cases for 38 years and has been involved in writing or supervising more than 1,000. He is a co-author of several books on the case method in three languages. Jim has engineering and MBA degrees from the University of Western Ontario and a doctorate from Indiana University.


Kamran Kashani is Professor of Marketing and Global Strategy at IMD, Lausanne. He has been a marketing consultant and educator to numerous USA and European companies and has also taught at INSEAD, France, and Babson College, USA. Kamran has written more than 50 case studies over the last 30 years and has won three ecch European Case Awards and two from efmd. A specialist in coaching teachers new to the case method, Kamran has been presenting ecch case method workshops since 2000. He has been a member of ITP (International Teachers Program) at London Business School and New York University and currently co-directs the programme being hosted at IMD.


J.B. Kassarjian is Professor of Strategy and Organization at IMD, Lausanne and Professor of Management at Babson College, Wellesley, MA. He was previously on the faculty of Harvard Business School and was involved in establishing Harvard-related graduate institutes in Iran and the Philippines. Professor Kassarjian has served as consultant to international private and public organizations in such areas as leading change, strategic restructuring, and senior management team building. He has published a book, numerous articles, and a large number of cases in a variety of industrial and geographical settings. After a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University, Professor Kassarjian obtained his MBA and DBA at Harvard University.


Michiel R Leenders is the Leenders Purchasing Management Association of Canada Chair and Professor Emeritus at the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He is a former director of the School's PhD program and has taught and consulted extensively both in Canada and internationally. Mike has been teaching with cases since 1959 and has written more than 300 case studies. An experienced and award winning teacher, he has taught case method workshops around the world since 1968. Mike is a co-author of several books on the case method. He received a degree in mining engineering from the University of Alberta, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and his doctorate from the Harvard Business School.


Louise A Mauffette-Leenders, as a case writer and research associate at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, wrote more than 70 case studies in various areas of management, including the non-profit sector. She has taught with cases for more than 15 years in professional development programmes for social service providers. Together with her husband Mike Leenders, she has taught more than 30 case method workshops in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Louise is a co-author of several case method textbooks in three languages. She holds a BA from College Jean-de-Brebeuf, a BBA and MBA from l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commericales of Montreal, Quebec.


John Thompson is the Roger M Bale Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Huddersfield, a Visiting Professor in Australia and Finland and has taught in New Zealand. He has an MBA from Cranfield University and is an experienced case writer, specialising in short cases. John has written extensively on entrepreneurship and strategy, including the textbook Strategic Management, now in its fifth edition. Previously a manager in retailing and the steel industry, John advises organisations in the private, public and non-profit sectors and raised the funds to open a business incubator for the creative industries.


Trevor Williamson is Principal Lecturer and Postgraduate Admissions Co-ordinator at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, UK, where he directs a number of programmes. He previously held several senior management positions in banking and finance. Trevor has been writing and teaching with cases for more than 10 years and has been an ecch tutor for more than six years. He was a participant in the International Teachers Programme at London Business School and recipient of a Philip Law case writing scholarship from ecch. Trevor received his BSc in management sciences from UMIST and MBA from Manchester Business School / University of Wales, Bangor.
