Royalties
ecch accepts cases for distribution from both organisations and individual authors. ecch member organisations receive royalties on sales of multiple copies of cases authored by their staff or affiliates. However, ecch cannot pay royalties to individual authors.
Royalties are also paid on sales of teaching notes, supplementary materials, CD-ROMs and videos. Inspection copies of cases are not eligible for a royalty payment. Master copies supplied for use in undergraduate teaching receive a single royalty payment.

Payments
ecch sends the ecch membership representative a royalty statement by the end of June each year. The organisation issues an invoice for the royalty amount to ecch. On receipt of this invoice payment is made to the organisation at which the case was written.
Payment will be made if the sum is GBP100 or more. Smaller totals are carried forward to subsequent years and payment made at the end of the year in which the minimum figure has been reached. If authors believe they have any pecuniary interest in the royalties paid, they should take up the matter with the organisation to which the royalties have been paid.
Statements are issued both to the case author and to the employing organisation. It is important therefore that authors ensure that ecch has current address details.
European Case Awards
All cases in the ecch collection, registered by European based institutions or individuals, compete for the annual European Case Awards, which recognise the authors and institutions of cases that have achieved the highest growth in popularity worldwide. Awards are made in up to nine categories, plus one overall winning case for each year.
