IMD takes top prize in European Case Awards with easyJet case

easyJet: The Web's Favorite Airline, written by Nirmalya Kumar and Brian Rogers of IMD, one of Europe's foremost business schools based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the overall winner of the 2002 European Case Awards. Published in 2000 and a category winner in 2001 (Policy & General Management), this case has been remarkably successful, already numbering among the top ten most requested cases of all time. This is the third time that IMD has scooped the overall award during the twelve-year history of the awards.

ecch, the biggest single distributor of case studies in the world, presents the annual European Case Awards to honour the extent to which individual European business cases have been adopted, worldwide, by business schools, universities and companies, over preceding years. A case may not win in one category for more than one year. The European Case Awards have been made annually since 1991 as a way of acknowledging the central role cases play in the teaching of business.
