1. Completed and signed case registration form

The information you give on this form will be used for your case entry in the ecch catalogue. The signature(s) on the form authorises ecch to distribute the materials once registered and confirms the author's agreement to the terms of registration.

2. Electronic copy of case and associated notes

Please supply your case in a straightforward electronic format (eg a Word file). This facilitates the ecch catalogue formatting process.

3. Case exhibits

Please include electronic copies of exhibits with the case. Where these are not available in digitised form, please send originals and these will be returned to you. ecch may alter the format of exhibits to fit the finished case.

4. Video, DVD or CD-ROM

ecch requires an original of each video, DVD or CD-ROM clearly labelled with details of author, school etc. An abstract detailing the content must be supplied in electronic form for use in the ecch catalogue and bibliographies. Click to view an example.

5. Case abstract

Your case abstract will appear in the ecch catalogue and bibliographies and helps potential users decide on the suitability of your case. The abstract briefly describes the case scenario and includes details of its teaching objectives and student level. A typical case abstract is 150 - 200 words and should be supplied in simple electronic form (eg Word). Click to view an example.

6. Case subject permission

ecch requires a copy of the document in which the main subject organisation(s) or individual(s) featured in the case formally release the case for distribution. This document will be treated confidentially. The ecch website includes sample permission letters and information on case release.

7. Copyright notice and documentation

All cases submitted to ecch should have a copyright notice included in a prominent place (usually the foot of the first page). It is the responsibility of the person or organisation submitting a case to ensure that the information contained in the copyright notice is correct i.e. the year when the case was written and the name(s) of the true copyright owner(s). Please note that if the copyright owner is stated to be an individual or a group of individual persons then ecch will be unable to pay royalties to that or those persons.

The generally accepted international copyright notice is as follows:
"(c) (insert year) (insert name of author(s)and/or organisations). All rights reserved."

ecch requires copies of all relevant correspondence relating to case copyright or of exhibits within it.

8. Certification of case test and quality

A senior representative of the case authoring institution (eg Dean, head of department) must certify on the case registration form that the case has been extensively tested in teaching and that it reflects the quality of material produced at the institution.

9. Logo

A high resolution electronic copy of the authoring organisation's logo should be supplied the first time an institution submits a case to ecch or in the event that there has been a change in the logo. ecch will store this for future use on cases. If the logo is not available in digitised form, please supply a clear black and white printed copy which ecch will scan.
