introduction to case method research

ecch promotes and funds research into the case method of learning. The case method has many strong and enthusiastic proponents but little rigorous academic research exists to verify why it is so effective.

A number of research projects have been completed looking at the use of the case method in undergraduate teaching, and the ways in which learning occurs for teachers and students in a case class. Copies of this research are available through the ecch website.

ecch is always interested to hear of proposals for research into the case method.
