About the Asian Business Case Centre
The Asian Business Case Centre was established in 2000 by the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The Centre is dedicated to the development of Asian business and management case studies for teaching, writing, research and publications. The aim is to expand the resource pool of teaching case studies on Asian business and management practices. It does so through its Internet portal site, www.AsiaCase.com, a one-stop search and information website where data on teaching cases on Asia is collected from resources worldwide and made accessible in a single location. In 2000, the Centre saw the launch of a five-year programme in collaboration with the Richard Ivey School of Business, The University of Western Ontario to jointly write case studies and encourage case study teaching in Singapore and Asia. In the last three years, the Centre has published more than 60 case studies focusing on a diverse range of managerial issues and covering a myriad of industries. The Centre has also collaborated with industry partners on case-study projects and these partners include Singapore's Ministry of Manpower, Startup@Singapore, the Design Council and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore. Recently, the ABCC has made its foray into book publishing, with the introduction of its first case-book, titled Government-Linked Companies and Other Organisations, featuring a collection of case studies focusing on public organisations and government-linked companies in Singapore. More case-books are planned to join this first publication under the collection name Asian Management Case Collections.
