What is ecch?


ecch is the largest single source of management case studies in the world. Run by academics for academics.


What does ecch do?

ecch publishes and distributes case studies by authors at leading business schools (eg Harvard Business School, INSEAD, IMD) and independents. It also encourages and supports the development of case writing and teaching by running workshops at institutions worldwide. The annual European Case Awards honour the most widely used cases.


Type of organisation

Membership-based/non-profit-organisation. 614+ member institutions and corporations worldwide. Registered charity.

Member and non-member customer base in 2007 = 1,475+


History & governance

Set up in 1973 as a joint initiative of 22 UK higher education institutions. Now international. Overseen by an honorary executive committee.


Staff

A team of 28 staff, in the UK and US, carry out various roles to support case teachers and writers worldwide.

ecch publications

In addition to its core activity publishing cases, ecch also publishes ECCHO and distributes a selection of books on the case method.

The ecch publication ECCHO published twice a year. Covers issues and events relating to all aspects of case development and use. Circulation 12,000.
